This time I just went for the Halo Halo, which is a Filipino shaved ice with flan pieces, adzuki beans, ube, ice cream, and evaporated milk. It was yummy. When I've been there before, I ordered a whole bunch of different food, and all was really good. The service is great. The staff is very helpful and answered my many questions as I did not know what half the stuff was. The ambiance is like a small cafeteria. You go up and tell them what you want based on what's behind the glass counter. There's also some pantry type items surrounding the few tables they have.

So nice to have some filipino food out on the island instead of having to travel into woodside queens. The quantity and quality of food was decent. The pork from the sinigang could have been less fatty but not the end of the world. The grilled pork was delicious especially paired with the vinegar. The ice cream from the halo halo came a bit melted but still a good portion. It really hit the spot. there are a couple of tables to sit but the place is very small. It was nice that they were open for early dinner on Sunday. It seems like they have a bunch of food ready to go like a buffet at the counter and a mix of a grocery store with snacks and dessert.

What a delicious and cozy spot! I was recommended this spot while I was in the area and this is definitely going into my saved collections for Long Island! There were so many foods I wanted to try but ultimately went with the Bulalo and barbecue pork belly skewers. I did end up buying some pandan to take home as well and I wish I had bought more. The Bulalo came in this huge pot with a giant bone marrow in it and even with 2 people, we could not finish it all. Best part was that it was only $25 for such a large portion. The broth was amazing and there was so much marrow. Usually, most restaurants don't give much marrow but this place was very generous with it. The next time I come here, I definitely want to try their other dishes and take some more of their baked goods home!
